2 beaten eggs
½ cup milk
¼ tsp vanilla
⅛ tsp cinnamon
6 1-inch-thick slices of French bread
1 tbsp butter
Maple syrup (optional)
In a medium bowl, preferably shallow, beat together 2 eggs, ½ cup of milk, ¼ tsp of vanilla, and ⅛ tsp of cinnamon. Take 6 slices of French bread, about an inch thick, and dip the bread into egg mixture, coating both sides. Allow the bread to soak in the egg mixture for a few seconds. In a skillet or on a griddle cook bread in hot butter over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes on each side or till golden brown. Serve warm. If desired, serve with your favorite maple syrup. Enjoy!
