First it was literal storms that threatened to steal my peace. It wasn't the fault of the storms, but my own worrisome heart that got the best of me. Of course, the Lord was faithful to keep us safe through it all and by the time the storms arrived, they lost their strength and weren't much more than the usual thunderstorm.
The next "storm" came in the form of a physical ailment for Sydney, who was dealing with back and neck pain on Wednesday afternoon that disrupted her life for three days. A visit to the doctor Saturday afternoon put our minds at ease. She had a muscle spasm in her back that would work it's way out in a few days. We were able to give her ibuprofen and children's Tylenol every 6 hours to help relieve her pain and discomfort, which helped her immediately.
She is feeling well enough to fly her kite!
Georgia did something unusual. She abstracted her flowers by painting extreme close ups of them. Pictured below is one of Georgia's paintings.
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” ~ John 16:33
