It is hard to believe that today is April 1st already! The weather here was in the 80's. It felt like a summer day. The grass cutting season is upon us. We have a different type of grass here. I don't know what it is called but our yard is also full of little purple flowers. I tried to take a photo of it today. The tree by the garage is blooming too. It looks so beautiful right now with the white colored blooms on the trees in our development.

The kids and I got up this morning and headed out for a walk first thing, taking advantage of the warmer weather. It was 72 this morning! People were out and about walking their pets, strolling little ones around, jogging, biking, etc. I don't know how dreadfully hot it will get here in the summer so we are going to get outside as much as possible now. Yesterday, after school, we took a walk around the lake.

I was spoiled this weekend having meals made for me. Aaron made me lunch on Saturday (peanut butter and jelly - it was the thought that counts) and Clint made homemade pasta, fettuccine alfredo with salad shrimp, for supper. It was delicious!

The dough that I use for Friday pizza night can also be used to make a loaf of bread. I used some of the dough on Friday for pizza and used some on Monday to make a loaf of bread. Today I sliced the left over bread up to make croutons for my chicken salad. I LOVE that dough!!! I love it way too much! I HAVE to get back to low carbin' it for the sake of fitting into my capris! ;o)

Yesterday was the first time I got a haircut in Tennessee! One of the hairdresser's was actually from Lewistown, PA. Small world! I was happy with the way she cut my hair. When you say you want a "haircut" down here, that's what you get, a "haircut". No washing and styling, just a simple, quick haircut. I LOVED that about it because I am one of those people who doesn't like to take time out of my schedule to get a haircut in the first place. I never like how anyone styles my hair after the cut and just end up coming home to fix it "my way", so why waste time with all the fluff, cut my hair and get me outta there! lol! That's what she did and I was home lickety-split! :D

Well, that's all for now. Spring break may be over but I am still trying to embrace the beauty of this time of year.
