Here I go again, back for another weekly update. The big news of the week, 1/8 of an inch of snowfall and icy road conditions closed the schools down in Nashville and the surrounding areas for three days. Of course, that didn't keep us from getting our school work done because, unfortunately for our kids, the steps down to the kitchen were clear, NO ICE. LOL! There is a much better chance of sunny, warm weather conditions cancelling our school for the day. It is harder for me to stay indoors when the weather is so nice...easy to stay in when it isn't. :o)
Since there was a little bit of snow here this week, it was the perfect time to try out another winning Pinterest idea...snowman pancakes. They were cute!
Aaron and Syd were treated to a special lunch this week. I really can't tell you when the last time was that we ate a meal out at a restaurant. It must have been during our Christmas break in PA. We have eaten all meals at home, 7 days a week except for Chinese takeout twice this year so far. So pulling into the "MacDonald's" drive thru to grab a bite for lunch was a MAJOR treat!
I had a pretty good meal too! A delicious salad filled with turkey bacon, feta cheese, eggs, lettuce and tomato (lovingly made by my man).
Both kids have been super busy with their school work but they did get a chance to put the books down and work on a few projects outside of all of the "book work".
Aaron was SUPER excited to get two LEGO Club magazines this week. One of them was actually a product catalog that I jokingly tried to toss in the garbage...like he needs more ideas of what to wish for...LEGO sets are expensive!
Sydney challenged me to a game of Disney Trivia 2 and WON! ;o) I need to brush up on some Disney movies/characters info. If Lindsay would have been here, she would have won the game hands down!
Well, that's a little bit of our week in picture form.
