We had a great visit with my parents last week. The time went by too fast! It was the simple pleasures in life that I enjoyed the most... taking walks with my mom, playing card games, sharing meals together, hearing the sound of my dad's infamous leg clap, and watching him doze off to sleep on the couch as he was playing hangman on his laptop.
Today I was looking back over the week through the eyes of a nine year old girl. I thought Sydney did a great job of capturing the fun week we had with my parents through her chalkboard drawings.
I especially got a kick out of how she drew my mom's hair in circle scribbles on the top of her head.
Sitting around the kitchen table playing SKIPBO, and losing to pap time and time again!
Going to the movie theater to see Big Hero 6.
Going to Johnny Rockets for a chocolate malt.
She even captured the tears at the airport as we said our goodbyes.
I was able to keep track of the flight online and knew the moment that their airplane took off. We ran outside into the backyard with my camera in hand and captured a picture of a Southwest airplane that flew over the house about the time that they would have been flying by. We were waving and yelling goodbye as it went past. :)
They were flying to their new home in Las Vegas.
We had a great visit with them here in Georgia and can't wait to visit them in Vegas!
