It doesn't take much to get me totally excited, especially when it comes to saving money. I have been so blessed to have the use of these white cabinets this year and I found a way to utilize them for school work stations. The only snag in the plan was the fact that the height for the desk top that goes across the cabinets is too high for a normal kitchen chair. I was going to have to purchase three bar stools in order to make use of this setup. I didn't want to invest a whole lot of money because these cabinets aren't mine and I may only use them this year. I am THRILLED to say that I found, within our own home, the perfect seat for my station and now I only need to buy two stools instead of three!!! :) Clint's drum seat just can't be beat! It is perfectly comfy!
It is summer time and a great time to make some fun, easy desserts for the kids that won't require but five minutes of my time.
And, since we spend several mornings a week at the pool, lunch needs to be a quick, easy fix. Ham and cheese paninis only take ten minutes to make.
Making use of the crockpot helps to make supper a snap.
I am getting ready to come back to PA for a visit and the timing couldn't be better. I will be able to celebrate two of my grandkids' birthdays while I am home. Little Zack will turn the big "1" on July 20th and Mr. Alex will turn the big "5" on August 3rd. Aaron, Syd and I had fun birthday shopping for these boys!
We are so excited to have my parents here on Sunday! Clint is planning to make them his homemade pasta and meatballs for supper. The kids and I can't wait to take them to the pool on Monday. On Tuesday, we are heading back to PA with them.
I baked some banana/choc. chip muffins and choc. chip cookies for our special guests. I'm sure ice cream will be included on the menu too!
