Today was Clint's day. We wanted to honor him for his birthday which was September 16th, but because he was working on his official birthday, we decided it would be nice to give him a proper celebration today. Hearing heart beats by day (Exercise Physiologist in cardiology department) and playing drum beats by night (professional musician), this busy, talented, creative, hip, cool dude keeps us laughing every single day with his crazy sense of humor. We really love this guy! :D This is his day! THE THEME: He chose Steeler colors for his big day. I even went so far as to go out into our little flower garden and hand pick him some yellow flowers to go along with the color scheme. Don't worry, I did thoroughly wash the flowers with soap and water to knock off any little critters that may have tried to hitch a little ride into the house. THE CAKE: He chose a double layer white cake with homemade chocolate buttercream frosting. It was delicious! THE MEAL: He wanted to make his grandmother's macaroni salad and meatballs. He also made his own buns for the meatball subs. I would have made a special meal for him, but he enjoys cooking and wanted to make this meal today. :) I'm glad he did! He is an excellent chef. Here's to happy birthdays, special meals, delicious cake, laughter, love, and keeping each other sane for another year!
