Another week has gone by way too fast! I'm not complaining though because it has been a good one. The breakfast menu was simple, quick, delicious and somewhat nutritious. I tried to make a variety of different breakfast foods throughout the week. We had egg, sausage, cheese omelets with orange juice, cinnamon muffins and milk, banana smoothies, and egg, sausage, cheese wraps. We have been keeping up with the school schedule, and are right on target to be halfway through the A Beka Academy program by the middle of next week. Sydney did a great job reciting the poem My Shadow from memory. The lunch menu for the kids has been going off without a hitch. They look forward to lunch. We are enjoying the warm, sunny weather. Aaron, looking silly in the pic below. He keeps us laughing. I wonder where he gets that from. Sweet Sydie with her walking stick that she found as we walked a trail near the pool area. I just marvel at the super tall trees and the brilliant blue skies. The beautiful blue color of the berries caught my eye. Sydney is still young enough to enjoy playing at the playground. She is running through the alphabet that is painted on the pavement in the video below. She still likes to jump off the swing. Aaron, pretending to be walking "downstairs". He is a chip off the old dad block! Of course I think it is hysterical so maybe he is chipping off of two blocks. :) He cracks me up! Be careful of what lurks in the bushes at the playground. Suppers have been a bit on the "heavy" side. I will have to "lighten the load" (as in diet and weight loss) here again, but it is fun to eat burgers and fries, pizza and salads, chicken fettuccine alfredo and quesadillas. That's a little peek into our busy but fun week.
