Today I thought I would share with you my daughter Sydney's 14th birthday party. She chose Michael Jackson's "Thriller" theme for her party. She has an interest in 80's pop music, so she chose the man that was once dubbed the "King of Pop", and the world's best selling album "Thriller" from back in the day, for this special birthday celebration.
A trip to Dollar Tree was in order for the party supplies such as cups, plates, napkins and pom poms. Next I had to rummage through Aaron's Halloween movie props for some spooky, graveyard decorations. If you have ever seen the music video for "Thriller" it has a graveyard / zombie theme.
My darling husband made Sydney her favorite cinnamon roll cake, which ironically enough looked somewhat mummified and creepy. Looks can be deceiving, the cake was delicious!
Watching her open up her birthday gifts was "thrill-ing".
We had a blast from the past playing records on a real record player! Check out the video to see it.
Happy birthday Sydie girl! Turning 14 sure is a "thrill-er".
