Spring "Busy" - Designing a Poster - Dominoes - Chess - Homeschool Lunch Duty

Our Spring break is more like Spring busy! :o) We have been able to take some time off from our regular studies to work on a few different projects we have been wanting to do.

Aaron designed a poster of his favorite characters to hang on his wall. Several of the characters he wanted on his poster were his very own animated characters. Dare I say, I even spent a few $ to have the poster printed at Office Depot. GASP!

One evening this week, Sydney spent some time playing card games and setting up dominoes to knock down. I forgot how much fun that is to do!

Look who's on lunch duty this week. :o)

Sydney is learning how to play chess, known as the game of kings, the oldest and greatest skill game ever invented.

In History we are studying explorers so it was fitting for me to find some paper crafts of Christopher Columbus to get us started. Aaron and I LOVE any kind of paper crafts. Sydney is warming up to doing more paper crafts.

Columbus led the American advance; he discovered the New World; he left a record of persistence in spite of discouragement and of triumph over all obstacles. He has been an inspiration to me this week to work on in faith and hope until the end we strive for is won.

We started studying the gospel of Mark this week. If you ever plan to study this book, be ready for action! Mark shows Jesus as a man of action, a man with authority. Jesus came to earth with a mission, and he didn't rest until he finished what he came here to do. Now that's my kind of man! I dare you to read it and be open for God's move in your life, and be challenged to move into your world to serve.
