For the better part of the trip traffic really wasn't too bad.
Aaron and Sydney were my traveling buddies. Aaron's reaction to waking up at 5:30 AM was mine too! LOL!

Yesterday we took a road trip to Georgia so that Clint could attend a couple of meetings and also for the purpose of leaving one of our vehicles behind so that we wouldn't have to tow it during our move. This meant that we would both have to drive separately, and because the meetings occurred before we had time to drop the van off and travel together in one vehicle, I had to follow Clint through the muck and mire of traffic. For the better part of the trip traffic really wasn't too bad. Aaron and Sydney were my traveling buddies. Aaron's reaction to waking up at 5:30 AM was mine too! LOL! Since this trip was going to take us away for most of the day, I packed up all of our meals to go. Aaron was my photographer while I was driving and he took some nice pictures of the Tennessee River. I was nervous enough about driving through Nashville, Chattanooga and Marietta but I was totally caught off guard when I found out, mid drive, that I was driving straight into ATLANTA! In hindsight, it was better for me not knowing in advance because I would have been too terrified to do it. There must have been seven or eight lanes of traffic! Aaron took a few pics of me driving through Marietta. While we were waiting for Clint to finish up with business meetings, the kids and I took a walk (and I took some pics of them). We walked up to Chic-fil-A for some ice cream too. I didn't have any! Rest Stop dining at it's finest! Rest Areas are great places for picnics. We ate breakfast (Pop-Tarts) at one on the way down and ate supper at another on the way home. Here's to the Lord, for keeping us safe in our travels! ~Tracy
