No carbohydrates, other than those found in vegetables, and NO sugar. We were allowed sugar free Jell-O and Cool Whip for dessert after meals but were restricted to 75 calories of sugar free treats per day. We also had to maintain a minimum of 20 minutes of vigorous exercise everyday.
Phase 1 results - in just two weeks I have lost 8 pounds and Clint lost a total of 12 pounds.
We have entered into Phase 2 of the program and can now, ever so carefully, begin to add a carbohydrate back into the diet for one meal of the day, preferably a fruit.
I am posting our results just for encouragement. If anyone else is needing to lose a few extra pounds, but lacks the motivation to do so, I am here to tell you that it can be done. Anyone can do this. "It's never a question of can you but will you?" In just two weeks you can weigh 8-13 pounds less and feel so much better, and gain the motivation and confidence to continue on.
