Hello everybody! Blessings to y'all! Welcome to another old-fashioned blogging update.
What else can you do with the rest of the leftover Easter candy? Move over Reese’s peanut butter cups, Syd’s making her own version… Sydney’s Chocolate Bunny-Covered Peanut Butter Balls. They are a heavenly bite of chocolate and peanut butter all wrapped up into a little ball.
Some quick, healthy meal ideas I made this past week:
Here’s something not so healthy, but refreshing and fun - the kids tried Sunkist Berry Lemonade. They thought it was fruity and refreshing. Syd thought it would make a great slushie with "crushed" ice.
Time for a quick car wash!
A trip to Home Depot for some potting soil.
It’s time to plant some flowers and a pepper & tomato plant too.
Warmer weather means new linen bed sheets for everyone.
A new night stand, a candle holder with rustic candle and a decorative, ceramic jewelry holder...
and new curtains to finish off the master bedroom renovation.
So very grateful for Clint and all of his hard work in renovating our master bedroom. It looks gorgeous!
Speaking of Clint, he's been busy recording groovy drum beats in his studio.
Fun times at Linn's house.
Beautiful flowers around her house.
It's funny watching her chickens scratching through the leaves. :o)
Lastly but certainly not least, I’ve been working hard on the Book of Ruth Bible study. It’s been a powerful, life changing study. It has also been a painful process at times. Of course we all want to be able to identify ourselves solely with Ruth, the heroine of the story. Her loyalty and sacrificial love for Naomi, willing to give up everything for the benefit of her mother-in-law, are attributes we want to possess. However, more times than I care to admit, I found myself identifying with Naomi and her bitterness towards life’s difficult circumstances… seeing all of the losses in life... failing to recognize all of the gains. Realizing God’s hand isn’t on us to hurt us, but his plan is actually to redeem us and bless us. This has certainly been an eye opening study and I’m excited to share it with you soon.
That's all for now folks. We'll talk soon.
