Since our move to Tennessee this past fall, I have had a change of heart. Providing nutritious, tasty meals for my family is important and I needed to slow down long enough to realize how important these family bonding times are around the dinner table.
So I started to put more time and effort into making meal times special times of the day for all of us.
Breakfast meals are the basis for a good start to the day. It is comforting to wake up to the smell of coffee brewing, pancakes and bacon cooking away on the stove.
When I smell a blueberry muffin baking in the oven I just know it is going to be a good day! ;o)
Some breakfasts that I make during the week are eggs and toast, pancakes and bacon, banana or orange smoothies, banana or blueberry muffins, waffles, yogurt and fruit, omelettes, etc.
Sometimes kids need a little inspiration to try new things too so putting a little extra effort in the presentation of food can go a long way especially if you have a picky eater.
