As I was reminiscing through 300+ photos of our trip to Las Vegas this summer, I thought I would share some of the shots I was able to capture as we were ascending to 550 ft. above the Vegas strip...in the High Roller Ferris Wheel.
To understand the significance of this event, I have to share with you that I was terrified to get on this Ferris Wheel. My fear of heights and enclosed spaces was really working me over. My biggest fear was that once I stepped into the passenger cabin I would be “trapped” for thirty minutes, with no way to escape. This fear was consuming me and I couldn’t see my way past it at first. My dad reassured me several times that the cabins, or pods, were spacious, able to hold 40 passengers each. He directed my thoughts toward the awesome view that awaited me if I would just get on, and that this would be worth it…an opportunity that I should not pass up.
He was right!
