Clint's version of IHOP's stuffed french toast. This stuff is so good! It is stuffed with banana cream pudding, topped with sliced bananas, walnuts, whipped cream, and a drizzle of caramel sauce. This is quite a decadent breakfast and is one we don't have very often, but when we do, it is savored!

Syd enlisted my help in sewing Barbie a new backpack for school. It is a special custom design that you won't find in any store. :) Now Barbie is all the rave wearing her new backpack!

Chalkboard tip of the day: (I got the tip from the teachers at Pennsacola Christian Academy)...Use a damp sponge to erase the chalkboard instead of a normal erasure. This elimates the chalk dust from flying all over everything. I don't know why I never thought to do this before but it works like a charm.

It's time for a little science vocabulary review game. Yes, we have homework to do over the weekend.

I checked out Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds from the library to give it a try this week. So far I completed the first session which was walking one mile, and the second session, walking two miles. I actually liked this because it is something anyone can do, no matter the fitness level.  It would be too easy for someone in really great physical shape, but for those women that want an easy way to start an exercise program, this is it. This is a simple way to get moving. There's nothing fancy about this. There are four basic steps that make up the core of her walking program, walking in place, side steps, kicks and knee lifts. When the four basic steps are performed at various paces, the mile goes by quickly.

If I don't get outside for a walk early in the morning, it gets too hot and humid. This would be a great alternative for me that I could do any time of the day in the comfort of my own home. We'll see how the rest of the week goes.

For a special treat, Clint made homemade spaghetti and meatballs his grandmother's Italian way. He used her meatball recipe and made the pasta by hand. What a difference fresh pasta makes!

Out for a walk trying to take pictures of the beautiful landscape. The sodding work at the lake is complete. It looks good.

There are plenty of lush green trees. It smells like fresh cut Christmas trees! There are miles and miles of sidewalk to walk on throughout the subdivision.

I spent some time this morning preparing breakfasts for the week ahead. Pancakes and muffins are now in the freezer for easy breakfast prep. While I had all the ingredients out making breakfast food, I went ahead and mixed up a batch of chocolate chip bar cookies for little sweet dessert treats throughout the week. This stuff is for the kids. I can't eat any of it this week! :(

A load or two of laundry a day, helps to keep the laundry monster away. So much for a labor free weekend! :D

A little outdoor fun in this hot, humid climate. Yep, we were the only people brave enough to be at the playground during the hottest part of the day. We didn't stay real long! :D Brave probably isn't the correct word to use...stupid...now that is a better word choice. :)

Aaron started working on his Davy Jones costume this weekend. He does a pretty good impression of Davy. Click on the picture to hear Aaron's voice impression of him.

We need more panty hose. I never thought I would see the day that I would be purchasing panty hose for my son!!!! :D He still needs to get a pirate costume, hat and cotton stuffing to stuff the wierd tentacles, but it is coming together.

Happy Labor day!
