I started focusing more effort on weight lifting this week. I also had to increase my calories because I wasn't eating enough (700 calories per day), and that caused my metabolism to slow down. To correct this problem I adjusted my calories to 1000-1200 and incorporated weight lifting into my workouts three times a week.
The next big school project I am preparing for is teaching Sydney a state history unit. This should be a fun study for the both of us. She will be collecting facts about Georgia to be used in creating a state notebook keepsake. It won't bother me one bit if we have to laminate anything. :)
I tried a new recipe this week that was very simple to execute. The original recipe was called Bacon Ranch Chicken Bake, but I omitted the bacon. All you do is salt and pepper the chicken, smear ranch dressing over the top, cover with shredded cheddar cheese and bake at 400 degrees for 40 minutes. My portion size was only half a chicken breast. Simply add a vegetable and brown rice to complete the meal.
I have no idea who Becky is, this was a Facebook post from(http://organizingmadefun.blogspot.com), but I followed her cleaning schedule and it worked out quite well for me. Thank you Becky!
My little Laura Ingalls wanted her hair in braids all night so that she would have wavy hair for the next day.
Sydney was learning how to draw lions this week in her art class. I couldn't resist trying to draw one too. I'm not much of an artist but I tried my best. I thought it would be kind of funny to present my finished piece of art in a frame. LOL! This of course surprised Syd, and the look on her face when she saw my lion in a frame was priceless. She tried as best she could to be positive about my masterpiece, but I could tell she didn't think it was all that awesome. :) I didn't think it was either... but she didn't get my sarcasm. I thought her lion was adorable. She even added a "roar". I can guarantee you that Daniel was not thrown in a den full of cute, cuddly lions like the two Syd drew, but they were still cute nonetheless.
The Steelers play on Sunday, and Clint is planning on making chicken sandwiches and fries for our splurge meal. I am hoping to make brownie bowl sundaes, a recipe from http://wonderfuldiy.com/wonderful-diy-ice-cream-brownie-bowl-sundaes/.
Come to mama my sweet, chocolatey, delightful, delicacies.
