Alex's 12th Birthday Party - Beach / Lu-Wow Party Theme - Water Balloon Battle - Orange Creamsicle Beach Cake
We just celebrated Alex's 12th birthday! YAY! He is really growing up!
This year he chose a beach / Hawaiian luau theme for the party. We all dressed accordingly.
His mom went all out for the decorations. She took him out shopping for party supplies, and they brought the party to our house. They did a great job decorating!
He requested stuffed crust pizza and breadsticks from Pizza Hut, and his mom delivered the goods. She also made some Hawaiian pineapple and ham kabobs.
After dinner it was time to play Apples to Apples, and then it was outside for an epic water balloon battle.
Aaron packed water balloons in his pockets for quick ammunition reload. Too funny!!
I made him his favorite orange creamsicle cake, adding a beach theme to it for fun.
The beach scene consisted of his mom sitting on a beach blanket, taking pictures, while sipping sweet tea out of a golden goblet. Alex had a mysterious pack of dynamite in his backpack, not so sure what he was planning to do with it, but he was catching fish. Eric was out in the ocean, in a boat, being chased by a shark.
Time to open presents!
Happy birthday Alex! I hope you enjoy your special day!
We celebrated Sydney's 16th birthday! Unbelievable! She may be the "baby" of the family but she's growing into a beautiful young lady. If I had to describe her in one word, that word would be SWEET. She is so sweet.
Don't let her sweet demeanor fool you. That girl is sharp as a tack!
She requested a 1950’s - 60’s “diner” party for this momentous milestone of a birthday.
I decorated with a checkered tablecloth, Coca-Cola soda bottles and red and white striped straws. We displayed her dad's very own records on the table for decoration too. Her dad made cheeseburgers and fresh cut fries for the occasion.
She received many wonderful birthday cards and gifts from family. So grateful for every one of them.
She chose her dad's special peanut butter cheesecake for dessert.
Happy sweet 16 Sydney! We love you!
Aaron's 19th Birthday Party - Computer Tech / Video Game / Video Creator Theme - Peanut Butter Cup Cheesecake
I can't believe it but we celebrated Aaron's 19th birthday! Happy birthday buddy!
He's a tech / animator / video creator kind of guy. Mostly expressing his artistic side through the use of technology and computer software. So it's no surprise that he chose a tech-video game-video creator themed party. Very similar to last year. Some things don't change.
We took him out to look around at the latest tech gear and plushies they were selling at Target.
He requested his dad's special grilled double cheeseburger and macaroni salad for his birthday dinner.
He chose his dad's special peanut butter cup cheesecake for dessert. I guess it's pretty obvious who the chef is around this house.
That stuff is incredibly decadent and guilty of being too darn delicious.
He opened his gifts and we played a card game of Hand and Foot with Linn and Eric until it was dark enough for fireworks.
I remember the days of LEGO building with this sweetheart. Now he's building his own custom designed computer. Where has the time gone? Cherish every moment with the kids, they grow up so fast!
Happy Birthday Aaron!
