WOW, where did the week go? This week seemed like it went by so quickly. We enjoyed a few days of sunny, gorgeous weather with temps in the mid 70's, so we were able to get out and get walking. Sydney brought her scooter along to get it warmed up for some "scootin" with her twin nephews who will be here tomorrow. We are very excited to have Danielle and her family come for a visit!

School work:

This was a busy week for Aaron who had a lot of quizzes/tests in all of his classes. He is doing a great job. He just started a new unit in Math, x + y + a + b = Algebra. It's just an introduction into Algebra. He will get more in depth with that next year. I know he is looking forward to the unit on Geometry. He excels in that because of his extensive work with animations.

Sydney did GREAT on her memory verse test. She memorized Psalm 1.
Aaron added the video of Sydney reciting her verse below, but I have to say that it is hard to hear her. I didn't realize she was speaking so quietly when I was recording the video.
In her writing class she started writing stories, which she seems to enjoy. Her first story was about a frog. She also started journal writing, which she will continue to add writings to throughout the remainder of the school year.

Syd also worked on some side projects this week. She made a penguin family out of clay and made some fashion headbands from a kit that Aunt Cheryl bought her for Christmas.

My Baking Projects:
Today was a baking kind of day. I made some chocolate chip and peanut butter bar cookies AND blueberry muffins. In my diet defense, we are having company this weekend so I HAD to do it. :) I also HAD to try the goodies just to make sure they were edible. :)

I baked some Artisan bread today. I haven't baked any in weeks because of my diet but I made a batch today. I LOVE making bread, it is therapeutic and delicious! I only indulged in one little slice.

We look forward to a fun filled family weekend with the oldest of the Carothers' kids, Danielle AND the oldest of our grandkids Ethan & Dylan AND our very first son in law, Andy.
