- 12 oz. package of chow mein noodles
- 11 oz. package of butterscotch morsels
- 1 bag of Cadbury mini eggs
Bird's Nest Cookies, a great springtime treat.
Melt the butterscotch morsels in the microwave 30 second intervals (stir between intervals) until it completely melts. This step only took me a total of 1 minute.
When the butterscotch is melted, add the chow mein noodles and mix until the noodles are evenly coated. I should have used a bigger bowl to start with but did manage to get it all mixed together.
Quickly scoop out mounds of the noodle mixture onto a tray lined with wax paper, and press an indent in them to form a nest shape (and a place to hold the eggs).
I think the next step is the fun part, adding the chocolate eggs. Let's see who's willing to help me with this.
My buddy Aaron to the rescue! We melted 2 tablespoons of butterscotch morsels to use for the "glue" to hold the eggs in place in the nests.
Happy Spring Y'all!
