She also completed one page each day from her Cursive Writing Skillbook. I have to say that Syd's handwriting has improved by leaps and bounds. As a young child she had horrible writing and I can remember many tearful AND fearful days when I thought she would never master the skill of legible handwriting. Just getting her to write ON THE LINE was a monumental task. :) Her and I both are VERY proud of the progress she has made. She demonstrates good writing position and proper letter formation.
One was a simple pinprick picture. She drew a picture of a star and used a pin to prick the picture along the pencil lines. We displayed the picture in the window so that light would shine through the holes in the paper.
The second art project was a primary-color design that introduced primary colors and horizontal coloring / dark-to-light coloring.
