Syd was excited about her art project this week. She worked on a textured toucan, which went well with her study of animals.
The supplies needed were minimal... a marker, watercolors, paintbrush, pencil, scissors, glue, templates from art book, and one movable eye.
It didn't take her long to get busy mixing primary/secondary colors using watercolors. She was painting one piece of the toucan a primary color, another piece a secondary color, folded each strip in half, and rubbed them together to blend the paint.
She cut the pieces out and glued them to the outline. Then she finished it off by drawing texture lines on wing, feet, and tail feathers.
Nothing to "squawk" about with this project. It was easy and fun and now it's all done!
