I thought I would share our Abeka Academy Homeschool Daily Schedule for 7th grade. Back when my son Aaron was in 7th grade I used this daily schedule as a guide to help keep us on track. He also had “homework” assignments in the evening to work on. I posted the assignments on the refrigerator as a reminder to him to make sure he completed the homework for that day.
I thought I would share our Abeka Academy Homeschool Daily Schedule for 2nd grade. Back when my daughter Sydney was in 2nd grade I used this daily schedule as a guide to help keep us on track. She also had minimal “homework” assignments in the evening that I jotted down on a post it note, and stuck it to the refrigerator as a reminder to complete any homework assignments for that day.
It began each day with the pledge to the American flag and a patriotic song. A variety of hymns and choruses were taught and it was so cute to hear the little voices sing them.
Every four weeks my child learned a group of Bible verses. The first group of verses Sydney memorized for the school year was Genesis 1:1-5.
The second group of verses that she memorized was John 14:1-6. She received A's for reciting both groups of verses from memory but it was my prayer that she would hold onto those verses and hide them in her heart long after the school year was over.
In addition to the Bible lesson, verses, and singing, each day there was a time of prayer for the class missionary, the President and other government officials, as well as individual needs. It was such a tremendous blessing for me to be able to participate in this class with her. I am amazed at how much Sydney learned in the Abeka Academy second grade Bible class.
